Peek-A-Boo

I have been up to much lately, you know the usual. Sleeping, and well sleeping. Nothing every really gets done on summer vacation. Unless you're a Disney movie star.

I have spent quite a few days just watching television with my parents/spending quality time with my parents.

Four wheeling, one of life's most epic things to do in the middle of butt no where is something I'm up to.

Yes, I'm a honey badger and no fucks were ever given. Including when I strap on a helmet and tear apart some gravel on a back road. *Insert random country music*

The advantages to living outside of the city is probably things like the view. You can walk anywhere and have one of the greatest views after non man-made.

My favorite place to visit in the summer is the river behind my house. It's quite and from time to time you see animals. Some friendly...some not.

You spend lots of time thinking about different things. Like, for example, my grades. Which for the most part I have received. This just in guys, I passed.

I'm hoping to have something a bit more entertaining on my blog in the next few weeks.

Until another day,

Lazy days of summer

Not having a job makes life a lot more boring. I literally do nothing all day. Nothing! It's nice, I will say that. However mu dog and I are starting to sleep the same hours. All day, every day!

I have though been taking short drives around town. Window down, t-shirt, and music blaring from the stereos.

And no fucks were given about how I look. As the title of my blog would suggest. Always wear a seat belt!

Evenings are spent with a glass of wine and a good book.

I still eat lovely home cooked meals. And actually, tomorrow as I head into to town to hunt for a job, I plan to buy the ingredients so I can back a cake from scratch! See my bucket list page.

I woke up Saturday and enjoyed some food made be me! Rare occurrence

Last night we had another favorite of mine. Seems I am being spoiled beyond reason.

It has been made evidently clear I have not made the transition into vegan-hood. Although I would like to, meat kind of taste good.

I hit my inner girl yesterday, which rarely ever happens. I blame it entirely on the boredom factor. Womp womp womp!

The rest of my boredom ridden day was spent with my parents, and my diva dog, Champ.

Until another day

Alternatives!

I didn't plan on posting today, however while doing my usual internet surfing I came across a proactive way to be healthy.

If you are trying to find more ways to be healthy in your life that are relatively simple, have a look at these.

How do you plan to be healthy?

Miss-cellaneous

As I sit listening to the "Game Of Thrones" theme son- never mind, I'll save my nerdiness for when get to know each other better.

Stressful week doesn't really describe it. I have only received one out of five marks; plus the mark on a research paper I was extremely disappointed it. I've contemplated that university is not the place for me. But who knows. I'll update you on this later on!

I have been enjoying my laid back time at home, for now.

I do however miss many things:

I miss my favorite Starbucks drinks - Ice Tea Lemonade - this I plan to find a recipe for, and a Caramel Frapaccino. God those are lovely to have at days end.

I really miss shoe shopping, these were my favorite shoe purchase of the year.

I also miss cuddling into the back part of the transit bus and reading a book - whether it be a school book or a personal read. Transit has it's problems but it was a good place to clear your head.
Hint: don't sit backwards on public transit, it leads near vomiting.

But I feel right now that I have no work or nothing to do I am enjoying home more then I normally would. Home cooked meals especially.

My first night home it was spaghetti, one of my favorite things my mother makes. Thanks Mom.

My second it was my all-time favorite food: salmon.

Mine and my Dad's idea of the perfect meal. The seasoning on this was absolutely perfect. Boneless, skinless salmon.

Although these are very healthy options, I often times dabble in junk food. (this is a really bad habit, I must add) There is always room - while you are sick - for some junk food.

Lastly, my most faithful companion, my dog, Champ! Who always welcomes me home with a lovely tail wagging and uber amounts of kisses.

Say hey, guys!

Showing off his inner queen. Love him.

Chaos!

The worst part about anything in life is saying goodbye. And not only to people, to places and to objects. When you spend a large amount of time in one place you grow attached to things around you. In my building there is a cleaning lady, and every morning this winter she would make sure that I was dressed properly for the weather outside. She always was understanding when I asked her to clean my room another day because I was sick. And she always made sure I stayed home when I was sick. I can still hear her saying "my goodness you should be in bed, not going to school." I have grown very attached to Rose, at a very personal level. I will miss her over these next four months, and all next year, when I move into a different apartment.

I will in general miss Fredericton in the months to come. It's a wonderful city. Between the people and the friendly atmosphere. The mall is kind of scary on Saturday's (I recommend you avoid that at all cost, and that is me being helpful.) I will miss - though some days I hated it - waiting for the bus to take me to school in the morning. The people always looked every so miserable about having to start their day so early, and having to take the bus that carries all the students from residence almost every half hour. Which, I must admit, living off-campus, can get for the most part very annoying.

I will miss impulsive trips to downtown Fredericton, and to the mall. Oh, I love downtown. With all the small shops and comic book store. THE COFFEE shops, oh my goodness. Those I will miss the most. I suppose that all of this ties into the loss of everything! However, I will be returning in fall to another apartment, that this hassle actually won't be necessary. FUCK YEAH for twelve month lease.

The day began early, at like 9:20 with my grandmother banging on my door to "get the hell out of bed" (f.y.i. I miss that bed already, so big and comfy.) I got up and proceeded to pack what little items I have left. And, realized my cousin and lots of things unpacked.

After awhile, we went out, for a much needed break.

My grandmother, Kelsey and I went to Cora's! Many delicious things were consumed.

So good right? Yes. Ate every bite.

I spent the day packing...which was not fun. At one point I was considering using one of the boxes for a vomit pit. So much heaving of heavy boxes. But we managed to get it all into one vehicle, a van. THAT IS FUCKING TALENT.

After being excited about going home for four months...to work a 9-5 job. I...well...
So peaceful...just leave me!

I ended my day fantastically with ice cap supreme, it's not Starbucks, but it sure was good!

Even though I left behind a lot, I'm taking much of it with me. And, I will be back. Also, I wish to add my most recent epic outfits, ones of which I'm so proud of.

My old lady sweater! Best sweater in existence.

Saying goodbye to a few good friends...plus cupcakes and pizza!

Today, and a few days before today began the "goodbyes" of one full year of university, sad, so very sad. On Saturday, I said goodbye to my soul sister, Vanessa. Oh how I will miss her. I've grown very close to her, and not only is she my best friend she is like my sister. And when school starts in September we will be reunited.

However, another friend will not be returning to St. Thomas in the fall. Michaela, who I was introduced to a little later then I would have liked left today to return to island...away from the mainland as she would call it. I meet up with her at another friends apartment, Emma. We said a tearful goodbye, and hugged. I will miss her greatly, and I already have a road-trip planned with another friend of mine!

I will see you again Michaela!
When I arrived at Emma's, Michaela was waiting for me, and so were some awesome animal cupcakes.
After, Emma and I order some super delicious pizza.

Black olives are Michaela's favourite - insert sad face here.

Goodbyes are the hardest part of everything. But, some day soon, all of these people will once again say hello. And, we'll forget the goodbye faster then we said it. This isn't the end, it is merely the beginning of something potentially great. See you in the fall Fredericton. I'll be back for a second round.
