Lets just say I locked this place tight.

Though my school week hasn't officially started I have been quite busy. My official move in day was Sunday, and that was a rough night. I spent in my apartment alone, as all other three roommates were either gone or not moved in.

Lets just say I locked this place tight.

For an entire weekend my room was a pile of boxes and a new mattress that laid in plastic over the boxes. So messy was a good word. When I finally arrived on Sunday after noon, I started to unload a very large amount of stuff. Like literally, I have too much stuff.

My room has finally started to come together. Posters and paintings included.

After a few days of spending time alone in the new apartment. I was reunited with my very close friends.

Vanessa, Kaden and Emma! It's been four months since we've seen each other.

We spent the day running around looking for an open liquor store for a ceremonial bottle of wine - and grocery store to stock up on food for homemade enchiladas. Which where delicious, I might add.

And today, which happens to be Tuesday, my best friend Lindsay is returning to the city. She lives not far from my apartment. And this year we are hoping to go on many adventures throughout the city. Lindsay's birthday is tomorrow and we'll be having a home cooked meal at my place. After she has a dazzling day with friends.

So be watching for your introduction to Lindsay!

Good luck to all people returning to school this year!

Saying goodbye to a few good friends...plus cupcakes and pizza!

Today, and a few days before today began the "goodbyes" of one full year of university, sad, so very sad. On Saturday, I said goodbye to my soul sister, Vanessa. Oh how I will miss her. I've grown very close to her, and not only is she my best friend she is like my sister. And when school starts in September we will be reunited.

However, another friend will not be returning to St. Thomas in the fall. Michaela, who I was introduced to a little later then I would have liked left today to return to island...away from the mainland as she would call it. I meet up with her at another friends apartment, Emma. We said a tearful goodbye, and hugged. I will miss her greatly, and I already have a road-trip planned with another friend of mine!

I will see you again Michaela!
When I arrived at Emma's, Michaela was waiting for me, and so were some awesome animal cupcakes.
After, Emma and I order some super delicious pizza.

Black olives are Michaela's favourite - insert sad face here.

Goodbyes are the hardest part of everything. But, some day soon, all of these people will once again say hello. And, we'll forget the goodbye faster then we said it. This isn't the end, it is merely the beginning of something potentially great. See you in the fall Fredericton. I'll be back for a second round.

Chicken...and then fall Caesar?

Today, I completed my second exam...in 30 minutes. Holy crap on a cracker. But, I know I at least achieved myself a B-, which I'm okay with it. It doesn't stop there though my friends. I have another, but final, exam on Saturday, at 9 a.m. Clearly the definition of brutal. But, on the bright side, three hours later I can walk away Scott-free, and spend the weeks after biting the finger nails off myself waiting for marks.

Anyway, I hate to depress all of you with my horrible stress and exams. I spent the morning saying goodbye to close friend I've learned to love. She's about as crazy as I am, and I will miss her dearly here at St. Thomas.

Goodbye, Michaela!

She's the blonde beauty on the right! With our match perfect red lips.

But what would a blog post be without food?

For dinner, I had the most wonderful salad, something I have become very addicted to.

Creamy Caesar dressing is the best thing I have ever put to my lips. And not to mention combining it with chicken. Brilliant fucking idea. Then again, most of my ideas have fucking brilliance to them. Well...some. Others may be quite questionable.

Then after some hard side curdling laughter with two of the world's greatest people, I walked home. Slightly cold today, bundle up people of Fredericton, or at least a sweater.

I returned home, and supper was awaiting me. What a lovely thing, eh? Everyone should come home to supper. Not to domestic anyone. That's silly.

Lasagna, rice and meatballs! Yum.

Want some? Sorry, I ate it. I ate ALL of it. Sorry, guys that was rude.

After spending sometime with my face in a book (which I am now back to), I spent a couple of hours at the mall with my friends. Vanessa and Michaela. Since the day I write my last exam Vanessa will be returning home until next year. Which makes me very sad. We'll have a happy reunion next year.

I ate something not as healthy as would have been my intention. Taco Bell!

The day was wonderful, but I must bid you adieu as I have work to complete and another day of studying ahead of me.

A Great Day

I don't have any pictures to share with from this epic day. But, I can tell you about. I spent the day with a person you shall remain mysterious until a later date. But this person is the greatest person who has ever introduced themselves into my life.

I started the day by studying for my psychology exam. Which could go well or badly. But hey, most things do. We can only do our best and for right now that has to be good enough. Never set your expectations to a place that is TOO far beyond your reach. (I'm not saying don't shoot for the moon, but, recognize your limits and accept them! It's actually okay.)

After long hours of starting directly into a computer screen. Trust me, that is honestly the worst thing in the world. Your eyes get super heavy and sore. I pity anyone who has to do that on a regular basis, really, I sincerely do.

Afterwards, my friend and I headed for a quick late supper. Oh boy - my belly! Chinese food is quite excellent. Since we parted for so long, I think it was a great way to send ourselves back into a future that might be very rewarding.

Morally of today, never give up on your heart and how you feel. Chances are what you feel is exactly how it should be. Chances are that when you think all things are lost they're not. Even further then that, the mistakes you made in the mean time will disappear, and it will take time, as most things do; but they'll work out.

This whole situations makes me feel super positive about everything. I can only hope that all of you blog readers will some day feel the way I do right now. Because this feeling: very amazing.

We're Here, We're Poor, We Can't Pay Anymore!

I feel like a stranger! But I'm back to detail a cause I have a firm belief in. Tuition hikes on university students. I, in surveying several universities and examining their prices, I settled on one which a classic renowned journalism program with seemingly low tuition cost then most other universities.

One of my application fees for applying was 250$ and that was merely to get an acceptance or decline. Could you even begin to imagine what it would cost for a full-years tuition?

So, in light of news from my current university who claims as they recruit their students that they in fact have low tuition in our province.  Which is fact they do. But, they won't. Our school being a liberal arts school is seriously underfunded by our provincial government. We get like 80% of what other university in our province get. Which is unfair to say the least.

As a result of that our university decided to inform us that they are in fact hiking our tuition fees. All is well, right? Shut up and take the un-afforable hike. My fellow students and I said no. We protested as STUdents against STUition.

Is it fair to send already worked to the bone students into further debt because our government lacks the faith in liberal arts students and their prospects of jobs in our seemingly critical world? No!

Should it be fair that students who work 45 hours at school and on top of that work a part time job because the funds they have already don't cover the cost for education.

Financial means should NOT be a boundary to education.

Whose campus? Our campus!
