Dedicated to Chinese....food.

Exams are done. School is done. ITS SUMMER!

Just kidding, who gets summer after grade school? Teachers.

I've since returned to my parents home for the summer. Much more responsible for me to be here then somewhere I can't afford...food, we'll say.

So on my last couple of days in the city I went to a few different things. One was Chinese dinner with my boyfriend!

Poor Lenny thought long and hard about his decision. He ended up making the right one with pan-friend won-tons! Honestly, I had to try one and they were fantastic!

We order and appetizer. Lenny ordered pan-fried won-tons, and I order, again, won-ton soup! I get it every time. I'm a creature of habit!

Our main course: we both ordered the same thing. A No. 6!

There are few things in life that I enjoy more then Chinese. If I could it eat, every day for every meal. I would. That is not a slight exaggeration. Delicious-ness!

And to fully appreciate the seriousness of my claim to eat it everyday, I took my best friend, Carissa, (who has never eaten Chinese/doesn't like rice/what I don't even understand), there to eat. It was our post-exam celebration day!

Now that I'm back home. Where not much happens, I will do my best to keep the posts coming.

Hopefully you've enjoyed that I've dedicated this whole post completely to Chinese food.

Few Indulgent Things!

So I'm done my second year of university!

I've been indulging myself in this that Nathalie enjoys.

I made a subscription to BeautyBox 5! Which has a variety of makeup, nail, body, fragrance and etc inside that comes to your door for the low price of 12$ a month! There are other options, and you can see them in the link above. I love makeup, and anything of the sort, so I figured for twelve dollars, I would invest in something I enjoy. So go check it out!

Also, I wanted to introduce you to a new makeup guru who I know personally. Her name is Melanie. And she works with me at a store called Justice.

I knew she was adept in makeup- hence her admission to make up artistry school, but I love her YouTube videos! Hopefully she continues to make more.

Introducing Melanie Levesque!

Link to her entire YouTube Channel is here!

I love this video.

I will have more to come, including a post about what comes in the box next month, and trip to the market!

Super Lazy Sunday - might become a thing!

Sunday are not really fun days. In my city, buses do not run on Sunday's, so most of the time I find myself inside (or, at work, rare, but happens).

Today, was a simple day. Due to stormy conditions everyone was stranded in the apartment, or rather I was. This is third storm we've had in March. You could say it's been an awful start to spring. And, in light of what I will tell you about the rest of my Sunday, this picture seemed fitting.

So, I decided that I would watch one of my newest favourite Disney movie's in light of the snow, rain and freezing rain storm outside.

Curled up my couch, in a relatively warm apartment.
I watched Frozen.

I also am stuck inside so that means making my own food, a skill, to which I am extremely impaired. But today, Sunday, is normally different.

Today was rather healthy, which is unusual.

Rice and some veggies!

All-in-all, Sunday's are days to make simple food that is virtually impossible to screw up and watch your favourite movies while you procrastinate all the things you are supposed to be doing.

On a side note, I hope that you all participated in Earth Hour!

Make every day a little more enjoyable.

I've discovered several things in the past month or so that help make every day a little more enjoyable.

Including the 100 Happy Days

And Keri Smiths' "Wreck This Journal", though I am aware that this has been a phenomenon for awhile, I love sharing the new discoveries in my life.

I will start with my successful third day of #100happydays

Day 1: Nap time on Tuesday and Thursday are probably one really important reason why I'm happy. I start this day at 7:30 and end at 5:30, however, this particular day I went until 10:30. So a little shut eye is always welcoming.

Day 1-Part 2: Perfect eye lines are super hard to get and this day just happened to be one of the good days. Another reason to be happy!

This refreshed looked only possible by a cat nap and fresh shower.

Day 2: Snow day and the successful completion of work I kept procrastinating on.

Day 3: Coffee was the only reason I was awake this morning, and what about that doesn't make someone happy!?

Yes, I'm Canadian, so that ultimately makes me predisposed to happiness.

Day 3, Part 2: I won a free coffee off the coffee I bought, and won three suckers in my class for answering questions correctly, and, YES I am in university.

I've been embracing the challenge to see how long I can keep it up. I'm naturally pessimistic. So this challenge ideal, and it's working!

The other thing I mentioned was my undertaking of "Wreck This Journal"

I have several pages and activities from that book.

I had to cover a really large bad word, thanks to friendly contribution.

Each day, I try to make a contribution to this book. And at the end, I'm suppose to mail it to myself at a later date. To make a memory, and perhaps remind me, it's okay to be silly sometimes, and even happy!

Lastly, I encourage you to join these challenges. You can start the #100happydays challenge at the website above and you can buy "Wreck This Journal" at your local Chapters or Indigo!

This ones about food

I'm in the process of renaming my blog. Bare with me!

I've discovered that every odd time I have cravings for certain things. This time it's Caesar salad and any sort of ice cream.

Obsessed with DQ's red velvet blizzard.

Or any ice cream for that matter.

Bulk Barn is a luxury. I travel there to see all the lovely things I would like to cook/bake/fry. And of course get all the candy.

Starbucks has been another luxury of mine. And Oat Fudge Bars are something I really need to learn to make. As soon as I find a recipe I will post it.

I also made a worthy purchase of a "Wreck This Journal" I've already done a couple pages of it. And, GOODNESS LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE STRESS RELIEF.

And after I destroyed the pages, I found a place to have a nap.

Indian Butter Chicken Recipe!

I have a new recipe for you! Although, hopefully you've all heard about this delicious under-taking of food.

Indian Butter Chicken

What you'll need:

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 bottle of VH Indian Butter Chicken Sauce (or a brand of your preference, there is lots out there)
- 2 cups of white instant rice
- Add your favourite vegetables. Sometimes I like to add Spanish oninons, yellow, red, and green peppers. (these are not necessary)

Preparation:
- You will place the chicken in the pan, with some butter and your perferred seasoning (I like seasoning salt), and cook on medium heat for 10-20 minutes - until chicken is no longer pink.
- Once the chicken is cooked, all the way through, take it out of the pan and cut the chicken in small/medium size chunks, and place it back in the pan.
- Take your bottle of Indian Butter Chicken, and depending on your chicken add the entire bottle into the pan. Lower heat, simmer-level 2.
- On a separate burner, bring 2 cups of water to a boil, (add some salt), and then add the rice when it comes to a boil.
- Place pot cover the rice for directed time until all the water is gone.
- Let cool and serve.

Makes:
2/3 servings

A day in the life of...

A figure since my blog is about a day in the life of, it should have more post about what I do in the run of a day.

Today is an unusual day. I'm on March Break from university.

So, I will tell you what I am doing and then what I should be doing.

 11:30
Wake up
Usually on a Friday up at 10:45

Today, I started my day sick. Violently sick. Flu from hell sick.

So, I grabbed some of this newly discovered soy beverage that I am in love with.

12:30 pm -
Usually, on my way to my only class of the day Developmental psychology.
Made a cup of regular tea and started on homework I have been procrastinating on for awhile.

2:30 -
Usually I'm just getting out of class, going home for the day.

I folded the last load of laundry I brought home. Lets just say I used a lot of my parents laundry soap.
Yep, at 20 years old I still wash my laundry at home. Broke gurl, over here!

4:30
Supper time
This is usually later especially when I am back in the city. I get occupied with other things.

This time it was salmon. A rarity when my Dad cooks, but when he does it is amazing.

5:00
Selfie time. As a blogger, I take pictures on a regular basis. Trying to cut down on the ones of myself.

Usually I am not doing to much regularly. Procrastinating the work I have to do.

In affect, I've discovered just how boring my life is. Ha!

What are you doing during the day? Share with me your fun activities and I will try them!
