Cest la vie!

I've completed all my exams.

I finished the semester with two A's, an A-, a very disappointing B+ and a B-

The B- was just lack of interest in the course. I was shoved in there last minute. As a requirement for something that is no longer my major. But, I will redeem myself next semester. Hopefully. Sometimes working and school is a bad idea. But, cest la vie.

I'm now on holidays. Thank the lord!

But I few things have happened since then.

I got some Christmas gifts from my boyfriend, including glasses, boots and canvases to cure my addiction/obsession with painting.

Those are my new Ray Bans. Thanks to my boyfriend, I can now see. As my vision is no long as "good as it once was"

Also I look awesome in that photo.

I got some fresh vegetables at the market. So I decided to be inspired and make my own batch of homemade soup.

It was super delicious. I'll post the recipe soon. Check out my other recipes for now.

The weather is also hugely crazy! We've gotten so much snow in this area. I had so much trouble arranging away home this year!

I also made good use of the gift my boyfriend, Leonard, bought me. I found a picture of this abstract/faceless ballerina. It struck me as something symbolic yet, I'm sure just what yet. I made another one, it was a colorful expression of my exam-time stress.

Introducing Lindsay!

So last week was the first week of my second year of university. Last week I showed you all about my moving process and now my room; however, this week I'm introducing you to Lindsay.

We met in grade eight. And have been best friends ever since. Even though we have our fair share of rough times we have come through it, standing together.

On September 4th it was Lindsay's 19th birthday. So, I prepared her spaghetti supper and garlic bread.

As a gift I got her - The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks and a iPhone case she wanted.

We both went home this weekend otherwise there would be more to post. However, this is only the beginning of what we'll see from Lindsay, and hey, I might even let her do a guest post.

We went to one of my favorite places. A froyo place called Menchies! It was so good.

And introducing Lindsay...

My world would not be the same without her!

Who is the most important in your life?

I don't know what to name this post...

It's been awhile since I've actually posted on here. Mostly because I've been ill. And, work.

Not a lot has happened really.

However! My employers got a new kitten. The vow to call it Jess! And of course I could resist spoiling it when I arrived yesterday.

It's an orange tabby. And hyper! We had a full house yesterday. A dog who isn't a very happy dog, a kitten who could barely sit still for five seconds, and two very small children who like to pull/hit/grab and expect the animals not to react, I definitely had my work cut out for me.

I went a little camera crazy. But he is just so adorable! And he's my new friend until I'm done work.

It was also my Dad's birthday yesterday. Though I worked, my Mom managed to baked a cake for him. And since my father is anti-photograph, anti-internet, I snapped some pictures of the cake and lit candles.

We hid it in the oven as the most logical place to hide a cake. Well, it is for hiding things from my Dad.

Dad has a big smile when he blew out his candles on his surprise cake, and his belly was pretty happy after eating a piece because it was mighty good! Thumbs up, Mom!
